Growing the Network Without Diluting the Concept

CanAm is designed to scale from a focused launch network rather than begin with a scattered collection of routes.

The initial platform is centered on Washington, D.C. and Houston, connected through Las Palmas with Abuja and Cape Town. Once these corridors have established passenger demand, premium yields, cargo performance and operating reliability, additional gateways can be integrated into the same network structure.

North American Expansion

Potential additional North American gateways include:

  1. New York
  2. Chicago
  3. South Florida
  4. Dallas / Fort Worth
  5. Toronto and Montreal during a later Canadian phase

Each new gateway can feed the existing Las Palmas connection wave, providing access to several African destinations while also contributing Canary Islands tourism, cruise traffic and cargo.

Adding a new North American gateway therefore does not require building an entirely separate route system. It strengthens the platform already in place.

African Expansion

Following the initial services to Abuja and Cape Town, targeted African expansion may include:

  1. Accra
  2. Abidjan
  3. Douala

These destinations broaden CanAm’s reach across West and Central Africa and add further business, institutional, diaspora and cargo flows.

Through the Las Palmas gateway, each African destination can receive traffic from several North American catchment areas rather than depend on the economics of one isolated city pair.

After an Atlantic crossing from Washington, Houston or a future North American gateway, the stop in Las Palmas becomes part of the travel experience rather than merely a connection.

Time to refresh, stretch your legs, enjoy the lounge or take a quick shower before continuing southbound in comfort.

CanAm’s network structure can also create distinctive one-ticket journeys that are rarely available in a convenient format, including:
