Canary Americas Airlines — CanAm — is taking off as a year-round charter airline, perfectly aligned with the eternal sunshine season of the Canary Islands.
To launch swiftly and smartly, CanAm will begin operations chartering aircraft froma wet-lease speialist, supplying aircraft, crew, maintenance, insurance of an experienced carrier. This means avoiding heavy upfront investment and immediate access to aircraft — like the mighty A340-600 currently under negotiation — while flying under the AOC of experienced partners.
This business model lets CanAm take to the skies fast and generate real revenue early whilst building brand recognition from day one — with aircraft that are already branded CanAm.
Meanwhile, behind the scenes, we’ll be recruiting crews -mostly experienced B747 crews-, and securing our own Boeing 747 fleet, all whilst preparing for our own AOC certification.
In short: Fast launch, low risk, strong branding — all while keeping financial buffers intact.

Why Charter Makes Sense
Operating as a charter carrier gives CanAm powerful flexibility:
Need to adjust routes quickly or combine cities like New York and Chicago or Chicago and Seattle into one efficient loop?
Done. Charter rules make it possible.

For example, a Seattle departure could stop briefly in Chicago — a quick refuel and stretch — then continue to the Canary Islands with minimal delay. And thanks to smart scheduling, much of that time can be regained in-flight.

Another edge? On-the-fly stops at Tenerife South en route to Las Palmas — perfect when a large portion of passengers are Tenerife-bound anyways.
A quick 20-minute hop continues the journey to the final destination, Las Palmas, with no refuel needed, and maximum passenger satisfaction.
